We’re now able to real-time identify users in Ireland. This is good news as it enables us to provide single click payment via PSMS. No need for the user to authenticate through an initial Txt Trigger.

User Information API enhancement

A number of content providers want to intelligently decide which network’s traffic to send to Bango without needing to redirect the user through the standard Identifier service.
This new web service NetworkFromIP in the User Information API allows a content provider to pass a client IP address to Bango, we check it against our list of networks and returns the network it belongs to.
As some networks have MVNOs running on top of them, the physical IP address of the gateway is not enough to detect the network. In this case, we also output a “possibleMVNO” flag, letting the content provider know that this might be an MVNO, but they should redirect the user to our real-time Identifier service.

Vodafone UK and Orange UK pay out rate increase

Two leading UK Payforit operators, Vodafone and Orange, have increased their payout rates and we are pleased to announce that Bango is passing these increases on to you.
From August 1st 2008 our best rate on Vodafone UK is 84% and Orange UK is 76%. These rates are available to all our Advantage customers. Payment World and Payment UK customers also see an immediate increase to 76% and 68% respectively.
This is consistent with Bango’s policy of passing through better billing features and terms of business as soon as they become available. Please see the detailed rates online at: Bango Rates for further information.
