Bango’s Tell a friend service lets your customers send details of your service to their friends. When they find a site they like, they can opt to send a WAP Push to another person’s phone with a message explaining why they are sending them there. When the recipient follows the WAP Push, they are taken directly to your site.
So your customers can spread the word about your site to anybody in any country (as long as SMS is available).
Here’s what you need to do:
- On your WAP site include wording along the lines “Tell your friends about this site, click here”
- Link to “http://bango.net/sendfriend.aspx?sendbango=xxx” where xxx is the Bango Number of your site. It must be the home page of your site and not a charging point
- When a customer clicks through, they are notified that there is a small charge for them to use the service
- They enter their friend’s mobile number and Bango sends the friend a text message and WAP Push taking them directly to your site
