Bango Analytics is very easy to use, here’s a quick overview of the steps involved.
Whether you want Analytics information from your own site, from an advertising campaign, or any other traffic source the setup process is the same. You simply need to add a Bango URL into your traffic flow.
If you already have a Bango account
Log in to the Bango Management Tools and run through the ‘Add new content’ wizzard on the ‘Content’ tab.
1. Choose a recognizable title – perhaps the name of the link on your site (e.g. “news link from home page”) or the name of the campaign you want to track.
2. Enter the URL for the landing page – where you want visitors sent to (e.g. the URL of the news page)
3. Click ‘Create Bango Number’ – you will be given your Bango link (URL) to add to your site
Top Tip!
Take a moment while you’re here to set the content rating for the URL you have just created. Click on “Rating” in the Content Settings menu. If you give your URL a ‘U’ rating then users will not be passed through age verification and will not be prompted to log in.
Add the link to your site
1. Take the link you just generated in the Management Tools and place it on your site or in your campaign.
2. Return to the Management Tools and track your traffic under the Analytics tab.
If you are new to Bango
If you don’t already have a Bango account sign up for Analytics for free at http://bango.com/analytics
Once logged in you will see a Welcome page. We would recommend that you read the ‘Analytics quick-start guide’, then click on ‘Add a link to track’:
You will then be asked to fill in two boxes. Firstly choose a recognizable title – perhaps the name of the link on your site (e.g. “news link from home page”) or the name of the campaign you want to track. Then enter the URL for the landing page – where you want visitors sent to (e.g. the URL of the news page)
Finally click ‘Create a tracked Bango link’– you will be given your Bango link (URL) to add to your site
Add the link to your site
1. Take the link you just generated in the Management Tools and place it on your site or in your campaign.
2. Return to the Management Tools and track your traffic under the Analytics tab
