Users are now able to supply you with reasons why they have cancelled a subscription on their handset through the My Account section on bango.net.
This gives you richer information why subscribers are cancelling and you can therefore adjust your service to tailor your offering.
The following reasons have been added:
- I don’t use this service anymore
- Service not working in my device
- I didn’t get what I thought I would
- Not worth the price
- Other
Information on how to extract this data can be found in the Event Notification webservice API.

There is a new shortcode available for you to use for your marketing and advertising campaigns: 60550, which is free and works in the UK.
This new shortcode will be replacing the current free UK shortcode: 85080. This shortcode will expire on the 30th October 2009.
Please make sure that you adjust all your advertising and marketing with the new shortcode before it expires.

15:36 – The Bango knowledgebase is back online
The Bango knowledgebase is currently offline and you will not be able to view/access it at this time.
Any queries sent through to Bango Customer Services may also be delayed, but we will get back to you as soon as possible.
The support centre runs as an external system and therefore the Bango Management tools and Bango Analytics is running as normal and you will be able to view all your data.
We are working with our supplier and are hoping to fix this as soon as possible.
We will update this blog post with more information as soon as we have it.

Essential maintenance will be carried out today between 16:30 and 17:00 BST which may affect the delivery of Analytics reports (NO DATA WILL BE LOST). This will be very low impact however you may not be able to view your reports on the Management Tools during this period.
